The historic Downtown Mall lies in the heart of Downtown Charlottesville. Limited street parking is available, but two parking garages (Water Street and Market Street) are available for this pedestrian-only brick-lined mall full of boutiques, eateries, live music, street entertainers, an ice rink, and a couple of movie theaters. Home to numerous festivals and concert venues, it’s pulsing with entertainment and local culture.
Thomas Jefferson’s historic Monticello house is seated on a 5,000 acre plantation in Charlottesville. Daily tours and free interactive exhibits in the Visitor’s center amount to 90 minutes to a half-day worth of tours. Don’t miss this must-see historic location!
